We're not ashamed to say it, Mythe Barn has a special place in the hearts of Team Rustic. Nestled in the idyllic Sheepy Magna, Mythe Barn is the perfect contemporary barn setting to host your English country wedding.
Meet the beautiful Cher and Adam. They came to Team Rustic back in 2019 with a clear vision for their 2020 wedding and one that we were more than happy to make a reality. They wanted a crisp palette of white, grey and green - neutral, clean and delicate. Unfortunately we had to postpone the wedding a couple of times and they finally tied the knot in August 2021.
Guests were welcomed into the barn wedding venue using our A4 Wooden welcome signage displayed on an easel, and as always; we used our white signature font with mixed foliage in various green tones to create texture and style.
Because the ceremony room at Mythe Barn has jaw dropping high ceilings and natural lighting we didn't want to go too crazy with the decor as the room is already very beautiful. We focussed our attention to the aisle by adding glass cylinder vases, pillar candles & white rose petals in clusters along the floor & decorated the chairs lining the aisle with side tie white chair drapes. We also added a bit of decor to the main focal point in the room - the ceremony table.
Candlelight, even in huge open spaces, is always a winner if you are looking to create ambience.
The front row seats were reserved for special guests with elegant stationery cards tied with ribbon to each chair. A simple touch that goes such a long way to make sure that the all important guests & bridal party who need to sit at the front have their seat saved for them.
We created a delicate ceremony table using soft grey waterfalling drapery and Cher's chosen florist Primrose Flower Boutique created a small floral garland along the front. The base was again lined with more scattered petals and a mixed formation of glass cylinder vases in various sizes with lit candles in white.
We used our popular "Rustic Romance" table plan for guests to find their places at the wedding breakfast tables and pegged the names onto natural twine string and of course added fresh greenery sprigs to decorate. This was placed just by the entrance doors to the breakfast room so that all guests could easily find their names long before it was time to sit down.
Cher & Adam chose two different centrepieces for their guest tables using a mixture of tall and low designs. Tall glass vases with beautiful flowers from Primrose Flower Boutique on top created height and depth to half of the tables and the other half had beautiful low floral urns which added so much elegance and grace.
They really complimented the grey chiffon table runners which we placed down the centre of each table before dressing each place setting with one of our grey textured charger plates.
Team rustic created personalised menus in grey to complement the colour palette and added simple white name cards before completing the look with a folded white napkin and a foliage sprig.
The top table was decorated using a long greenery garland with entwined white flowers & we added more glass cylinder vases to create height and texture with lit white pillar candles for the all important mood lighting.
At the base of the top table, we repurposed Cher & Adam's ceremony table decor by moving it from one room to another and creating a floor arrangement of mixed foliage, fresh blooms and, you guessed it, glass cylinder vases. We will always try our very best to repurpose any ceremony decor once the ceremony is complete to make use of it and this particular decor just added an extra bit of interest to the Top Table.
Team Rustic created a simplistic cake table to compliment the delicate white 3 tiered cake. We used our silver pedestal cake stand and added a cake menu and some delicate foliage for a gentle burst of colour.
We had so much fun creating the perfect neutral wedding for Cher and Adam. Our team loved the ambience, the simple colour scheme and the romance of all the soft fabrics.
