Firstly... It Was Lovely To Meet You

If you visited us recently at either the Crockwell Farm Wedding Showcase or the Sami Tipi Summer Open Day, thank you so much for stopping by our display.

We loved chatting about your wedding plans, hearing your ideas and helping you to imagine what your own wedding day could look like. We know wedding showcases can be overwhelming - with so many suppliers and so much inspiration all in one place - so we've put together this blog to recap some of our favourite styling ideas and hopefully inspire you even further.

The Styling Concept

Although both showcases had a relaxed, romantic feel, we wanted each display to tell a different story.

At Crockwell Farm, we embraced the venue's beautiful rustic charm, creating a timeless and elegant tablescape that complemented the permanent marquee perfectly. Rather than filling the room with oversized arrangements, we focused on soft textures, delicate details and a calming colour palette that allowed the venue's natural character to shine through.

The beautiful floral arrangements were created by Hibiscus Luxury Wedding Flowers, whose stunning blooms paired perfectly with our powder blue fabrics, seagrass charger plates, gold candlesticks and cylinder vase candles to create a sophisticated yet relaxed look.

For Sami Tipi, we took a slightly different approach. A tipi offers a wonderful blank canvas but really can take a brighter colour palette so we used a variety of soft pastel flowers and colourful linens. The result was fun, fresh and full of personality while still keeping the relaxed rustic style that we love.

Both displays prove that your wedding styling doesn't need to be over the top to make a lasting impression. Sometimes it's the carefully chosen details that have the biggest impact.

Why We Chose Powder Blue

If you've been browsing Pinterest or Instagram recently, you've probably noticed that powder blue is everywhere - and it's easy to see why.

This soft, elegant shade has become one of the most popular wedding colours for couples looking for something timeless yet modern. It works beautifully throughout every season, from spring and summer celebrations through to cosy autumn weddings.

One of the reasons we love powder blue so much is its versatility. It pairs effortlessly with crisp whites, soft ivory tones, natural greenery and rustic wood, making it perfect for barn weddings, marquees and tipis alike.

Even better, it photographs beautifully, creating a fresh, romantic feel without dominating the overall styling. Whether you use it in your chair drapes, runners, napkins or stationery, powder blue adds just the right amount of colour while keeping your wedding feeling elegant and relaxed.

The Chair Drapes That Make A Huge Difference

Sometimes it's the simplest styling additions that completely transform a space. Chair drapes are one of those details that many couples overlook until they see them in person. A simple piece of beautifully draped fabric instantly softens wooden cross-back chairs, adding movement, texture and colour throughout your venue. Whether tied neatly or styled in a flowing waterfall effect, they help create a cohesive look that photographs beautifully from every angle.

The best part? Chair drapes are an affordable way to elevate your styling without making huge changes to your decor.

Don't Forget The Napkins

Coloured napkins are one of our favourite ways to introduce personality into a tablescape.

At the Sami Tipi showcase, we used a mix of soft yellow napkins and liliac napkins alongside blush runners and colourful meadow-inspired flowers to create a fresh, relaxed summer feel.

A simple change in napkin colour can completely transform the look of your table. Whether you love sage green, powder blue, dusky pink, champagne, burnt orange or classic ivory, we have a wide range of colours available to suit your chosen theme. It's a small detail, but one that helps tie your entire styling scheme together.

It's All About The Little Details

When guests walk into your wedding, it's often the little touches they notice first.

Soft flowing table runners add movement and texture.

Bud vases filled with delicate flowers create an effortless, natural look.

Candles bring warmth and atmosphere as the day turns into evening.

Thoughtfully styled place settings make every guest feel special.

Individually, these details may seem small, but together they create the unforgettable atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding is over.

Behind The Scenes

One of the things we love most about wedding showcases is working alongside some incredibly talented suppliers to bring each display to life. Creating these spaces takes plenty of planning, teamwork and attention to detail, but seeing couples walk through the door and become excited about what's possible makes every early morning and late night worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with us, we genuinely loved hearing your ideas, answering your questions and helping you picture how your own wedding could look.

We hope these showcases gave you plenty of inspiration and confidence as you continue planning your special day.

Q - Can I Mix Fresh Flowers With Artificial Flowers?

Absolutely! In fact, many of our couples choose to combine fresh flowers with high-quality artificial florals to create a beautiful look while making the most of their budget.

For example, you might choose fresh bouquets and buttonholes, paired with artificial ceremony flowers or floral arches, or fresh table centrepieces alongside artificial meadow arrangements. It's a great way to achieve maximum impact without needing fresh flowers everywhere.

Because our artificial flowers are designed to look incredibly realistic, they blend beautifully with fresh blooms, creating a seamless finish that your guests won't even realise is a mix of both.

We'll happily advise you on where fresh flowers will have the biggest impact and where artificial flowers can be used instead, helping you create a bespoke design that suits both your vision and your budget.
