So the most amazing thing ever happened this week... we WON "Wedding Venue Stylist of the Year" at the regional East Midlands TWIA event!
The TWIA, or The Wedding Industry Awards, is an annual awards ceremony that takes place across the different regions of the UK at the end of every wedding season and is regarded in the industry as the best awards to be part of.
There are actually a number of different awards ceremonies by a few different companies that take place each year but the TWIA is different to all the rest in that is is voted for solely by past clients and is not simply a popularity contest. Each client is asked to log onto a portal and answer a variety of questions about our service and what we offer and write a short paragraph about their wedding. After this, all entrants are judged by a panel of experts in each given field. They look at social media presence, website, online photograph galleries and general business ethos before making a decision on the winner of each category.
15 of our wonderful past clients took the time to vote for us and we are honoured to say that we actually WON!
So we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who voted for us and said lots of nice words about us. We do what we do for you and we genuinely love every moment of it.
We entered the awards back in 2017 and received a highly commended certificate which is basically runner up so I am absolutely overjoyed to come back this year and win!
When our name was called as the winner I actually couldn't believe it. The whole team has worked so hard this year and it is so lovely for them to get the recognition that they deserve and celebrate along with me.
The trophy is in pride of place at the showroom now so next time you pop down and see us, take a look at it!
We were so lucky this year because we got to celebrate alongside lots of our industry friends who also won the top award in their category.
A big shout out to Jodie & Craig at Sami Tipi who won "Marquee Supplier of the year", Thomas the Caterer who won "Wedding Caterer of the year" and Jo at My Perfect Ceremony who won "Wedding Celebrant of the Year".
These guys really are the best in the business and have all won the award a handful of times in the past. A true inspiration to us all & I feel very lucky to call them all friends.
We are all heading off to the National Event in London in the middle of January with the hope of winning the National Title and we couldn't be more excited if we tried! Wish us all luck!
