Danielle and Russ’ wedding was the perfect blend of timeless romance, rustic charm and personal touches. A truly beautiful celebration filled with love, laughter, and the most elegant summer colour palette.
A Warm & Welcoming Ceremony

The couple tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Plumtree, Nottinghamshire, a breathtakingly beautiful space that immediately captured their hearts.“The moment we stepped inside, we fell in love,” Danielle shared. “The soaring ceilings and intricate paintwork were absolutely stunning — and unlike many churches, it felt so warm and welcoming.”
After a decade together, finally saying “I do” in front of their closest family and friends was every bit as emotional and special as they’d imagined. “It was everything we’d dreamt of — and more. The whole day exceeded our expectations.”
The Reception: Character, Charm & Sunshine

Following their ceremony, the celebrations continued at The Carriage Hall, a venue that perfectly reflected Danielle and Russ’ love of characterful spaces and beautiful surroundings.“We knew we wanted somewhere with charm and lovely grounds, and The Carriage Hall offered both in abundance,” Danielle explained.
Despite a little post-ceremony shower, the July sunshine soon made an appearance, allowing guests to enjoy drinks and photos in the gardens, an idyllic setting for this relaxed and joy-filled day.
Soft Pastels & Rustic Details
For their summer wedding, Danielle envisioned a soft and romantic colour palette. “I knew I wanted soft, pastel tones,” she said. “We went for dusky blues paired with blush, peach, green and white, which created such an elegant look.”
Working with The Rustic Wedding Company, the couple brought this vision to life with carefully curated details that complemented the rustic charm of The Carriage Hall.“Lesley and her team tied everything together beautifully — from seagrass placemats and rustic signage to wooden crates and delicate floral accents. It felt perfectly ‘us’.”
Sweetheart Moments

When asked about their favourite part of the day, Danielle and Russ found it hard to choose however, a few moments stood out.“Our son Oliver walking down the aisle absolutely melted our hearts,” they said.
They also loved having a sweetheart table for their wedding breakfast. “It gave us a chance to pause, chat, and soak in the atmosphere together as Mr & Mrs. We’ll always cherish that moment.”

Words of Wisdom
Their advice for other couples? “Choose recommended suppliers you trust — it makes the world of difference. We were so lucky to have an incredible team who worked seamlessly together, which took away so much pressure and allowed us to just enjoy the day.”

Styled to Perfection
Having known Lesley for years, Danielle already knew she’d be in safe hands with Team Rustic.“The Rustic Wedding Company were amazing from start to finish — nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel completely at ease. Lesley instantly knew what would work for our colour scheme, and the end result went beyond anything we imagined. The room was styled to perfection and felt so personal to us.”
“Thank you so much, Lesley and team — you’re truly incredible at what you do!”
