So after working in the wedding industry for a few years now we have noticed that there seems to be a definite shift in wedding trends each year. So for the first time since we began, we have put together this little trend report for you which is predicting the biggest trends for the next wedding season.
1. Acrylic signage
Acrylic signage is going to be huge in 2017. We have seen an influx of different glass signage over on pinterest recently and believe that a safer alternative ( aka perspex) is going to be big!
Forget the traditional paper stationery. Acrylic menus, table numbers, table plans and place names will be very popular.
2. Foliage

Next year we are going to be seeing less and less blousy flowers but more and more greenery. You guys will be choosing to have long foliage garlands on tables, will be hanging huge foliage installations above the top table and will be creating big bridal bouquets using minimal foliage.

3. Drippy cakes

Gone are the days of multiple tiered naked cakes. Next year we will be seeing lots and lots of semi-naked cakes with drippy toppings. Salted caramel will be huge as will white chocolate and metallic painted drips.
4. Two Piece bridal gowns.

Next year we will be seeing lots of alternative wedding dress ideas but one idea that is set to be super on trend are two piece dresses that show off a bit of belly button.
5. Light Boxes

Light boxes are everywhere on the high street right now and next year we predict that these bad boys will be making their way into more and more weddings.
6. Long rustic tables.

Next year we predict that we will be seeing more and more couples opting to have long rustic tables without cloths as opposed to the traditional round white table.
Guests will be seated in long rows, giving off all the medieval Tudor vibes!
7. Copper

Copper copper copper. That’s what we’ll be seeing in 2017. It’s already a massive trend in home interiors, clothing and jewellery and will be transpiring into wedding décor asap!
8. Modern Calligraphy

Calligraphy seems to be everywhere right now. The funky downloaded fonts have now been replaced with uber cool hand written modern calligraphy.
We’ll be seeing this in wedding stationery, on wedding signage and pretty much everywhere else!
9. Tropical vibes

You’ll be seeing lots of palm leaf décor, flamingos and pineapples next year. I know it sounds bizarre but trust me, you will.
10. Copper wire fairy lights.

This is going to be smallish trend really but because they can be used in so many different ways I am predicating that they will be everywhere and will be replacing the LED light. Our favourite way to use these are inside lanterns filled with moss to create a magical light for your table centre pieces!
