Hannah & Richard: A Marquee Ceremony

Towards the end of June the lovely Hannah & Richard got married at the gorgeous Berry Hills Farm in Ravenstone. The farm is owned by their friends and really is set in the most stunning grounds. It has a glistening pond (which is almost big enough to be considered a lake...), wild swans and ducks roaming around and rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see. It really is the most beautiful setting for an english countryside wedding and we were lucky enough to be able to pop over and do some styling.

In the weeks leading up to Mr & Mrs French's day we had planned the most beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony together by the pondside but unfortunately, due to the great British weather we had to re-think our plans the day before the wedding as the heavens opened and gave us a huge downpour of rain.

We were forced to move the ceremony indoors, although this looked equally as beautiful as our original plans and styled their beautiful marquee with vintage props and our fab rustic archway with hessian drapes to match the hessian ceiling drapes and twinkly lights. We added extra ribbons to chairs & hung handmade vintage floral bunting to make the room complete.

Hannah had asked us to follow a vintage floral theme and using pastel colours and a selection of vintage glassware, vases, books, pearls, lace doilies, keys and tea cups we created her table centre pieces. Each one was slightly different and added a bit of character to the white circular tables.

We took along our one of a kind Rustic Cart and decorated it ready to hold H&R's berry & edible flower naked wedding cake. We added a pastel ribbon garland to the back and a few extra cut glass vases but kept the decor simple as the cake really was to be the show stopper piece.

Outside the marquee we stacked a pile of wooden crates & added some vintage decor, made some bespoke signage and created a lovely 'welcome' area for guests to see upon arrival. We also hung white hearts & glass tea light baubles from trees and decorated the remaining outdoor space with pom poms, lace trimmed jars, lanterns & bunting. Our vintage step ladder made an appearance too and displayed family wedding photographs from years gone by along with some vintage esq votives & jars of gypsophila.
