Nicole & Callum - Dodford Manor

The gorgeous Nicole and Callum had their wedding at the beautiful Dodford Manor on Saturday 4th May. Callum is a massive Star Wars fan and he wisely didn’t mention the date being ’Star Wars Day’ until after we had already booked the venue! Team Rustic really made our venue look incredible. They completely brought my vision to life and our wedding was everything I have ever wanted.

Tell us a little bit about your wedding day...?

Our wedding day was simply perfect, there was not a single thing I would change. We got married at the beautiful Dodford Manor on Saturday 4th May. Callum is a massive Star Wars fan and he wisely didn’t mention the date being ’Star Wars Day’ until after we had already booked the venue! Team Rustic really made our venue look incredible. They completely brought my vision to life and our wedding was everything I have ever wanted.

How would you describe your wedding ceremony?

Our wedding ceremony was simply us! Things didn’t go quite according to plan, both of us too keen and either fluffing our words or putting the ring on prematurely but that could not have represented us more! All of our friends and family said they loved our wedding ceremony because it felt totally natural.

Tell us about about your decor.........why did you choose your them?

I really loved the idea of a rustic modern country style wedding, when we picked Dodford we felt the venue was so beautiful we didn't want to take away anything from it by adding lots of different decorations or colours. We decided on predominantly blue and white with elements of gold as our main colours. The venue looked stunning and everything tied in together perfectly.

What was your favourite part of the day?

Having all of our loved ones with us to celebrate our special day. There were guests there that we have not seen for a long time and we felt so lucky to have our favourite people all in one room. One particular highlight in the reception was our incredible food. We chose to have a ‘Host a Roast’ main meal where we had secretly pre-selected one guest from each table to be a designated carver for the meal, complete with a chef’s hat! Our guests loved this and it really helped to get conversations flowing at the tables and provided a good giggle!

Any top tips for engaged couples?

Once you have selected your venue, take your time choosing all of your vendors. Make sure that you have researched carefully and are 100% happy with your choices. It took a long time piecing everything together and making final decisions (and a lot of hard word!) but it all came together perfectly and was everything I could have dreamed of.

Why did you choose Team Rustic?

I fell in love with The Rustic Wedding Company's work on their instagram page and they are a recommended supplier for our venue. We both have extremely busy, full on jobs and so the idea of not having the added stress of having to set up the venue ourselves was essential.

Team Rustic went above and beyond for us and their communication is incredible from initial zoom meetings to speedy responses to emails. They were able to bring my vision to life and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any future couples.
