The gorgeous Hannah & Ed celebrated their wedding day at the very elegant Swancar Farm Country House in Nottingham.
Hannah and Ed actually live really close to where Rustic HQ is and frequently saw The Rustic Wedding Company vans driving around so they decided to do an instagram search to find us.
Once they came to visit our showroom for their first consultation, they chose our bespoke full styling option, opting for a gorgeous colour scheme of dusky pink & blue with touches of rustic wooden decor and lots of florals.
Over to Hannah to tell us more...
Tell us a little bit about your wedding day...?
"Our wedding day was on a beautiful Saturday on the 11th May 2024 at Swancar Farm Country house on Trowell Moor just outside of Nottingham. I had found this venue whilst trawling through venues as everyone does, and I fell in love.
We spent a week a few years ago visiting multiple venues and whilst we liked them, I knew Swancar had to be the place. When we walked in, I cried, mostly in relief that all those ideas I'd made in my head were actually going to come true!
The day went seamlessly and we truly lost track of time just having the best time with all of our friends and family!"
How would you describe your wedding ceremony?
"The wedding ceremony was beautiful and was very much complimented by sympathetic styling to the room's already beautiful beams. The registrars were so encouraging and kind throughout, and one of my closest friends delivered a very emotional poem."
Tell us about your decor… why did you choose your theme?
"With the elegant beauty of the venue, I knew that we didn't need to add much to make it shine. Pink and blue were early contenders for colour themes and I knew I wanted lots of florals, though we did have to reign some aspects in due to cost. If I'd had a million pounds there would have been aisle meadows galore, but alas!
The greatest help was seeing our table designs come to life at The Rustic Wedding Company HQ... As someone who likes to be in control of everything, to talk through our theme and design in such depth and with such understanding was honestly invaluable. Something else that just made the whole experience wonderful was Rustic's commitment to the vision, I wanted the table runners to match the bridesmaid dresses. This turned out to be so much harder than anticipated but Lesley stuck at it and in the end found the exact fabric which I cannot express how much I valued that!
We both walked away feeling so confident in the choices made, and greatly looked forward to seeing it all come to life in the venue of our dreams!"
What was your favourite part of the day?
"That's seriously difficult to put a pin in, as every part of the day was special in so many ways. It was amazing to see our vision of the whole day come to life, it was incredible to be surrounded by so much love, and most importantly we finally got hitched!"
Any top tips for engaged couples?
"Enjoy the process of wedding planning, we used to have 'wedmin' evenings every so often and then more frequently leading up to the big day, just to spend time together getting everything organised and getting excited too!"
Why did you choose Team Rustic?
"We actually live really close by to where the original HQ was and we saw the Rustic van so i did an instagram search, and the rest is history! We really loved how individual each wedding was and knew we were in safe hands to be able to tailor everything to what we wanted for our day.
Another reason is that we knew we wanted to relax as much as possible beforehand; so knowing that the set up and take down of everything was going on behind the scenes was brilliant. As we'd already planned the table at our final meeting, meant that we knew it would be perfect!"
We wish both Hannah & Ed all the best for their future together. Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding stylists - we absolutely loved your wedding!
