On 28th May, 2022, we were excited to be heading to a venue that is not only super local to us but also holds a special place in our hearts as our Director Lesley... AKA the boss, held her ceremony here back in 2015!
Brooksby Hall is a stunning 16th Century Manor House situated in the Leicestershire Countryside and is around 5 miles from our base and we had big smiles on our faces as we headed over to style the wedding of the lovely Hannah & Dan.
With a choice of different ceremony rooms and also a teeny church in the grounds, Brooksby Hall can offer it all.
We recently asked Hannah & Dan for a bit of feed back on how their day went.
Here is what they had to say...
Tell us a little bit about your wedding day…?
Our wedding was postponed from June 2021 due to covid so we were extra excited when the big day arrived. Dan qualified as a mental health nurse during the pandemic, and I have been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years so we worked all through Covid and it was important to us to have everyone we loved celebrate our big day with us.
We chose Brooksby Hall as it was so close to where we live, a beautiful little chapel in the fabulous grounds and a lovely big wedding breakfast room. It meant our guests could relax from the moment they arrived.
What was your favourite part of the whole day?
It’s hard to choose a favourite part of the day. I loved the ceremony as the church is so very special and intimate. I had written a poem to my children, read out loud by my mother, explaining how lucky we were to have Dan come into our lives and become their step dad. I think absolutely everyone in the church cried. Dan had no idea about the poem so was sobbing!
Which styling element did you love the most?
We absolutely loved the simplicity and the design by TRWC in the wedding breakfast room. It was better than we imagined.
I was nervous when it was suggested that we have coloured tapered candles on the top table but the colours matched beautifully. I was so pleased with the eucalyptus matching on the centre pieces, table place names and the top table. I was initially undecided about the cake ‘ring’ but it set the cake off so well, I’m so glad we went for it.
Any top tips for engaged couples?
To any engaged couples I would say remember why you’re getting married, what is important to you as it’s your celebration of love, and the beginning of your life together. If things don’t quite go to plan don’t worry, no one will notice as long as you are having a great time. Try and relax, enjoy it, take it all in as it goes way too fast!
Why did you choose Team Rustic?
We chose TRWC as we had seen a displayed room at a wedding fair and absolutely fell in love with the relaxed but co-ordinated style. It felt classic and modern at the same time so we picked up a card and had a look on their website. The ladies were super friendly and full of ideas, it was a really relaxed showroom with lots of samples to look at and put together, nothing was too much trouble. The fact that they were local and had won lots of awards helped too!
