Lets talk ladders...
Gone are the days that ladders were used for climbing up and grabbing those hard to reach objects on the top shelf. These days women all over the UK are franically scouring through their husbands', their parents', their grandparents' & their friends' garages and sheds looking for these hidden gems to decorate at their vintage inspired weddings.
And "why" I hear you ask? Well the short answer is simply; "why not?". If you have ever had the opportunity to witness a vintage wooden ladder in action, you will realise that they are a far cry from today's modern metal alternatives and they can be quite simply, beautiful.
Other than their beauty, there are many reasons as to why these jewels keep cropping up, as the vintage wedding trend continues for 2015. Firstly, they are so versatile and can be decorated completely differently depending on the chosen theme or colour scheme.
The steps can be filled with glass bottles, jugs, tins, buckets and jars of your choice bursting with beautiful sceneted flowers such as the ever popular gypsophilla. They can be used as a perfect stand to display your 'LOVE' letters or your candles and lanterns for that extra romantic feel as the evening celebrations continue on into the night. I have even seen them used as bespoke table plans.
Whatever your theme or colour choices may be, there is always space for that 'extra special' touch and here at The Rustic Wedding Company we have our very own vintage ladder ready for hire around the East Midlands.
Originally used as a painters and decorators ladder back in the day, today our ladder can be hired out for event on its own or as part of a larger hire package for a small fee. We stock lots of different lanterns, jam jars, hanging hearts, chalk boards and LOVE letters as well as lots of other gorgeous decorative items, so get in touch now if you would like to find out more.
Looking forward to hearing from you 'frantic' ladies in search of the perfect ladder.
